Fuse offers a hybrid working environment. Fuse employees are welcome to work remotely 2 days per week (Wednesday and Friday) and work in the Winooski, Vermont headquarters on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to collaborate with coworkers and clients. At this time we are only interviewing candidates based in or willing to relocate to Vermont.
Job Summary
We are seeking a marketing professional to join our Brand Strategy team managing action sports events, athletes, and partnerships across clients. This role includes oversight of property partnership and event execution, strategic development of marketing initiatives, daily communication with clients and property partners, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery of all services, and working with an account team to maintain the client’s strategy throughout all aspects of the business. In addition, this candidate will assist in athlete activation though metrics, content projects, promotions and beyond. You will utilize your familiarity in action sports and marketing to consult on projects which may include planning and ensuring flawless execution of event properties, partner relations, hospitality, retail programs, media efforts, and assistance on athlete projects.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Strategic Program Development & Management: Develop integrated and cohesive strategy or concepts for Fuse clients, ensuring engagement across Fuse groups and partner agencies as needed. Develop program budgets for new projects, conduct ongoing project budget management.
- Presentation Development & Delivery: Develop and deliver error-free Fuse presentations to clients, utilizing fresh thinking when delivering ideas for annual strategies, grassroots programs, premiums, retail concepts, event activation ideas.
- Talent Management: Identify on-strategy talent (Brand Ambassadors / Influencers / Athletes / Artists / Other Management) for clients and deliver key insights about talent to demonstrate that they’re a brand fit.
- Event Activation & Management: Manage on-site logistics for client activations, managing property contracts, ensuring clients expectations are exceeded due to excellent & thorough pre-event planning & on-site coordination. Ensuring challenges are addressed quickly and communicated effectively.
- Client Relations: Act as the “hub of the wheel” for Fuse projects, fostering great relationships with clients through day-to-day contact, working cross functionally with other Fuse teams to exceed clients’ expectations.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on youth focused industry trends and best practices, ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of youth marketing trends.
Successful candidates will have the following skills & qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- 3 - 5 years of agency or brand marketing experience
- Large event activation experience
- Knowledge of action sports, specifically skateboarding and snowboarding
- Experience working with action sports event properties and athletes a plus
- Experience working with a cross-functional marketing team
- Expert level proficiency in all MS Office programs (PPT, Excel, etc.)
- Strong project management skills, meaning that you can efficiently multi-task and attend to every detail
- Polished, professional written & verbal communication skills
- The individual will work in Fuse’s office in Burlington, Vermont, but will travel for various events and client meetings
The salary range for this role is $60k-$85k depending on relevant experience, plus a generous benefits package.
