Fuse offers a hybrid working environment. Fuse employees are welcome to work remotely 2 days per week (Wednesday and Friday) and work in the Winooski, Vermont headquarters on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to collaborate with coworkers and clients. At this time, we are only interviewing candidates based in or willing to relocate to Vermont within driving distance of the office.

Job Summary:
The Events Account Manager is responsible for the development, detailed planning, and management of experiential marketing activities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing experiential marketing tactics, project management, activation planning and execution, budget development and management, management of marketing assets and equipment, sourcing and management of field staff, vendors, and independent contractors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Marketing Program Development

  • Develop integrated and cohesive event marketing concepts for Client based on Client brief; ensure engagement across Fuse Groups and partner agencies as needed.
  • Planning documents such as timelines and briefs are delivered to Client to guide the strategic planning process.


Event Planning

  • Create detailed event plan documents including premium distribution plans, playbooks, staffing plans etc. to be approved by EMG Director prior to event.
  • These documents are to be prepared enough in advance of the project execution to ensure successful implementation.


Event Property Communications

  • Property contract negotiations are carefully planned for and are carried out in a timely manner. 
  • Client’s expectations are met or exceeded on-site due to pre-event planning and coordination.
  • Maintain close communication with properties while coordinating event programs. 


Client Relations

  • Foster a mutually respected business relationship with Clients through consistent communication.
  • Understand Client’s preferred way of working with Fuse to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure that projects produced by the account team will successfully meet or exceed Client’s needs within Client’s expected timeframe. 


Event Staff / Vendor Management

  • Identify appropriate staff and vendors to execute successful events.
  • Sourcing, hiring, training, and ensuring that their work is professional and meets campaign and client objectives. 
  • Required hiring paperwork must be properly completed and submitted before the employee’s or vendor’s first day of work or service.
  • Manage communication and ensure staff, vendors and clients are informed of project plans on a regular basis via planning meetings.


Management and Care of Client Assets and Event Group Equipment 

  • Proper storage, care, inventory and maintenance of client owned goods and group equipment 
  • Gatekeeper of presence details between Events Group, Strategy, Client, and Production. Information is appropriately managed and shared between groups.
  • Premiums must be kept inventoried, organized, stored, and properly allocated according to the project’s premium distribution plan.


Onsite Event Management

  • Communicate with venue contacts, staffing agencies, Field Managers and IC’s prior to all events to be sure all schedules are being adhered to.
  • Oversee the build team onsite at events to ensure proper setup of presence and consumer activities.
  • Maintain organization onsite at events through crowd management and staff scheduling. 
  • Track sample and premium distribution throughout.
  • Troubleshoot and create solutions when unforeseen issues arise.


Mobile Marketing Vehicle Management 

  • Ensure all vehicles have valid registration and insurance cards before use.
  • Be familiar with basic DOT Hours of Service regulations.
  • Ensure all Commercial Vehicles are equipped with Electronic Logging Devices and all drivers are aware of how to use them.


Budget Tracking

  • Project budgets are to be kept updated, detailed and expenses to-date tracked using Fuse’s budget management system.
  • Maintain projects at or below budget and proactively address overages or significant cost savings.
  • Detailed reports must be coded with appropriate account codes, scanned for errors, corrected, and returned to Fuse Ops within the time allotted.


Event Reporting

  • Constantly monitor event reporting throughout programs to ensure all data is being captured and recorded.
  • Create event reports to be presented to Clients at the appropriate intervals.


Status Report Monitoring

  • Maintain updated weekly Internal and Client status reports and present updates in weekly internal and Client status meetings.
  • Follow up on Client requests in a timely and thorough manner.


Additional Responsibilities

  • This role requires frequent travel to event activations and client meetings. This role is expected to travel up to 5-10 days per month, depending on the event calendar.
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds at events, in the office, at storage locations, etc.
  • Ability to exert physical effort for extended periods of time both indoor and outdoor.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Successful candidates will have the following skills & qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 3 - 6 years of event / experiential marketing experience 
  • Experience in project management, planning and execution
  • Proficiency in all MS Office programs
  • Ability to deliver professional, error-free business documents and project reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions when presented with unplanned challenges
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • An understanding of the agency process and the agency/client relationship 
  • A strong attention to detail, self-starter mentality and sense of responsibility.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for business on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert physical effort for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of DOT commercial vehicle regulations is a plus 
  • A passion for sports, culture, art, music is a huge plus! 


The salary range for this role is $60k-$85k depending on relevant experience, plus a generous benefits package.
